Hump Day Artist of the Week IV

Well, the holiday is over and I guess it's back to work for everyone. While it's always nice to have some vacation time, it's also nice for me to get back to a bit of a familiar routine. And that includes getting going on this blog business!

So we're at another Hump Day and I've got another artist for your ear drums' enjoyment.

Most of us have had our fill of holiday music, so this week I picked an artist that's perfect for transitioning between the holiday songs of the season and music for the other 11 1/2 other months of the year. Jon Nicholson has been called by many people as the "White Ray Charles" and that's pretty accurate. Jon hits the keys of the piano and organ with purpose on every note played. His lyrics are written with honesty and his vocals are belted out with a great amount of passion. All of this combines into a wonderful listening experience.

Jon's album "A Lil' Sump'm Sump'm" is complete from front to back and I recommend a full listen, however, if you are looking for a just a few songs on iTunes, the songs that I suggest would be "Just a Man," "Love is Alright," "Take Me Back," and "Hero." You'll be taping your toes in one listen and I can guarantee that one listen, just won't be enough. Sample his music over at his MySpace page! Be aware though that some of his lyrics are a smidge explicit.

So get yourself "A Lil' Sump'm Sump'm" at the Amazon Store at K107.com and click on Joey T's Hump Day Artists and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
