Is Bored at Work Worse Than...

Being overworked? I'm not sure yet. I'm still young though, I'll figure it out.

The reason I ask is that having nothing to do at work can be one of the worst feelings for me. It makes the day crawl along so slowly. Now on the other hand being overworked can make your day overly stressful and give the feeling that there's no end in sight. Granted having a live radio show for 6 hours of the day fills up a good portion of my duties here at K107.1, but there is still plenty to be done off the air. And if for some reason those other duties went away, I don't know what I'd do with myself. Perhaps take up knitting? Fortunately in my year and a half or so of being on The Second Shift I haven't run into being bored at work (I have at other employers though), and I don't know that I will be so long as I'm here. I chalk that up as a win.

One thing that would be super cool would be having a Lego section in the studio. Where we could build various things between breaks and getting news/gossip/music. Maybe even build one of these amazing safes. I'm not sure about the practicality of it, but it sure is neat-o!

Here's today's Web Waster:

StopBuyingCrap! - Along the national theme of "save more, spend less" this personal finance site is to help alleviate the troubles on the pocketbook. What's unique about this one though is just how honest and down-to-earth it is. Nothing fancy here, just some great advice to cut back on all that crap!
