Inauguration Endurance

Well, it has come and gone now. Barack Obama has become the 44th President of the United States of America following his inauguration ceremony today at 11am central time. However, I would have thought it would end there, but oh no. There's much more than just the inauguration ceremony. There's the parade, the dinners, the balls and more. Let's not forget about the President's personally viewing "cube" that was built specifically for him to watch the parade once he got inside the White House.

One would think that with a country in financial crisis, that we'd be able to find some sort of budget cuts within all of this hullabaloo to help save us a few bucks. Do we really need 100+ inaugural balls? How much does it cost in security alone for the parade and viewing pavilion? I can't help but think that this party is overstretching our financial means at the moment. But who the hell am I? What do I know? I'm just a guy who sits behind a microphone and plays music, right?
