I just got a new stereo about one week ago (shortly after my abrupt hospital stay), and after tinkering with it for a week, I have to say that I absolutely love it. I changed out my factory stereo with a Kenwood KDC-X 792 (pictured at left) and I should have done it earlier.
I never had the RDS read out in my car before, but now that I do, I have to remind myself to stop looking at it and focus on driving! The RDS is the digital signal that sends out the station/artist/song information so you can always know what's playing. We were the first on the scene with the RDS in the South Valley so it's a little sad that I didn't get myself one until just now. I also have the full iPod capibility and an extravagent graphic analyzer that tells me my car's horsepower at any given time and lays it out in a bar graph, helping map the performance. I would probably never need such a device, but it's nice to know it's there!
I also want to give a shout-out to the great guys at The Exclusive Company in Appleton. Todd, Andy and John all did a fantastic job in helping me get the right stereo for me and installing it at a great deal. If you ever need a new stereo installed, I couldn't recommend these guys enough.
Here's today's Web Waster:
OwnAPieceOfAmerica - Ever wanted to own land in California, Florida or Hawaii? Well now you can, absolutely free! At least one-square-inch worth that is. This site gives you an actual plot of land that is one inch by one inch. It's totally legit, there's no catch and you can get your deed printed, framed or on a plaque. Pretty cool stuff, especially as a gag gift for that co-worker who dreams of a vacation home every afternoon!
