Ever since I was a kid, I wanted a pet mouse. I always thought it'd be great to teach him tricks, sort of like Mr. Bojangles from The Green Mile. Imagine my surprise then today when I walked into the office today and the first thing I saw was a little grey mouse! I tried to direct him out the door, but he ended up hightailing it further into the office and into one of our news studios. Luckily there was no one in there at the time, so I simply shut the door and went to inform one of our office workers that I'd need some help wrangling him up. Little did I know that our tiny guest had already made an appearance before I arrived.
It's not very often we have this level of excitement around the office. Evidently he was seen scurrying around the supply closet and near the studio of our friends on the AM side of the dial. It was interesting to see how split everyone was on either finding the mouse cute as hell, or a demon from hell. So myself and Brooke (our promotions director) went into the studio and directed our friend into a trash can and then took him across the street in a nice grassy area.
I don't think I'll ever understand the fear people have for mice, but then again, I don't understand many of my own fears either. Now we have a series of humane mouse traps around the office but as far as anyone else is concerned, they're lethal ;)
Here's your Web Waster of the Day:
Hunch - This is a really cool site for indecisive people like myself. The site goes through a few strange questions to get a quick idea of who you are before going into some of the questions like, "Where should I go for vacation?" As you continue to use the site, it will learn more about you and give you even smarter answers.
