While this isn't the system that I picked out, I am going out on a limb and constructing my own computer for the first time! I've been confident over the last couple of years that I could build a system from scratch, I simply waited until now to take that plunge (thanks tax return). I've replaced graphics cards, memory, hard drives, expansion cards, optical drives and more, so I figure if the only new things I have to do would be putting the processor in the motherboard and installing the power supply, I should be good to go.
Over the last couple of weeks I was educating myself on socket types and graphics cards that would give me the biggest bang for my buck and I wanted to give a shout-out to Tom's Hardware. It's not that computer store downtown, but a great website that helps put the technical jargon into fantastic, easy-to-understand articles. I wouldn't have been able to get complete system I did for the price I did if it wasn't for their awesome content. If you're curious about taking the same leap of faith I just did, check them out.
You best believe that I'll be working on my system tonight, and hopefully I'll have good news tomorrow that it's up and running!
Here's today's Web Waster:
Cactus League - Baseball starts in 9 days! Well, spring training games do at least. The Milwaukee Brewers have training in Arizona every year in the Cactus League, so I thought today would be a good day to check out all the info at their official site. There's not only team info, but also great help if you're toying with the idea of taking a trip there for spring break!
