Conan Goes TBS Over Fox

In a move that will shock some and disappoint others, TBS has announced that Conan O'Brien will host a late night show on their network starting in November.  The first report I read this afternoon was from CNN, but I'm sure it has spread like wild fire by now.

Many had thought that Conan would venture over to Fox since they've struggled finding a late night host with consistent ratings since they became a network, but reportedly Fox wasn't willing to require their local affiliates to pick up the show, which would have cost them a pretty penny.  At the moment, most Fox affiliates rake in the dough by airing Seinfeld reruns in their current time slots after the local news.

While being on a cable network like TBS will most likely open up a few restrictions that Conan dealt with while on the Tonight Show, his show could potentially struggle to find a strong viewer base since it prevents anyone without cable from watching the show.  It'll be cool to see Conan back on the air again and it will be grand to see him succeed, though only time will tell.

Here's today's Web Waster:

FirstShowing - With the warmer temps this week, I figure it's a good time to start looking ahead to the Summer blockbusters that coming soon.  This is a great site that not only has movie news, they have some really neat features like podcasts, interviews and more.
