Yes indeed, this week's Hump Day Artist is all set and ready to go, and it's one that I think you'll really enjoy.
A fellow by the name of Ace Enders has lifted my ears to places once unknown for a few years now in a bunch of different incarnations. He got his start with now defunct band, "The Early November" (who will most likely be another Hump Day Artist down the road...) and now is going by a couple of different titles including, "Ace Enders and a Million Different People".
However, in between albums with "The Early November" Ace released a CD under the title "I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business" and it blew me away. The album is akin to singer/songwriter fare, so if you really enjoy John Mayer, Jack Johnson, old school Dashboard

The album tracking is different than a lot of others, not only in its sound, but also the names of each track. Rather than giving every song a title, Ace has 5 songs that are simply listed as "Untitled," alowing the music to speak for itself rather than trying to summarize the entire song in just a few words.
"I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business," like other Ace Enders projects, can be hit and miss with how people take it all in. Either they really like it, or they leave it by the wayside. And it all comes down to Ace's voice. He isn't the best singer in the world, BUT... and that's a big BUT, the emotion that Ace pours out in his vocals is unparalleled to a lot of other singers out there. You can hear it in every word that he sings; each line is deliberate and the delivery is incredible.
Some songs that I suggest to get you started would be "So I Finally Decided to Give Myself a Reason," "The Best Happiness Money Can Buy," and "Salvy."
As always, you can pick these songs up on the K107.com Amazon Store under "Joey T's Hump Day Artists" and be sure to sample the music at the "I Can Make a Mess..." MySpace Page.
