Web Waster Round Up: January 11, 2008

Well, Friday is here and I just woke up! I love the working the Second Shift, haha!

It's time to take a look at all the Web Wasters from this past week, because we all know that on Friday you don't want to do anything all day, let alone the last twenty minutes.

Best-Horror-Movies.com - This is the perfect site for the horror movie buff that knows everything about the genre, or wants to. It counts down the top 100 horror movies of all time, chronicles top actors in the genre, and (my favorite part,) they give you great "entry level" movies to help get your mate or friend into the genre if they shied away from it in the past.

Hulu.com - Great site for videos of TV shows and movies, and not just some run of the mill crap, oh no. Hulu gives you access to Scrubs, Arrested Development, House, The Office, Dougie Houser, M.D. and many many more excellent television programs! Plus there's movies! Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and Sideways just to name a couple. You can't get instant access, but you should sign up for their services (it's totally free!) and in a few days you'll get access to all the amazing videos.

DividetheRide.com - This is the quintessential for all you soccer moms, office car poolers, and trip planners. Having problems remembering and assigning family and friends to pick up your son at soccer practice? Can't decide who should drive which day to the office? Well, all you have to do at this site is put each persons schedule into the calendar and it automatically schedules who drives when!

JourneyPod.com - Trying to figure out what you want to do for your spring break vacation? Well, check out JourneyPod for all of the greatest hotels, spas, clubs, and family hot spots at many popular vacation destinations. I know it's only January, but you have to plan ahead, and their podcasts can help you do just that!

LendingClub.com - You might be skeptical about this site, but let me assure you that it is completely legit and absolutely fantastic. Working in radio, I have quite a few loans out right now (big surprise, right?!) and I wish that I had found this site much sooner. Basically it's a social networking loan site. You can sign up to borrow money from others around the nation at super low interest rates (about half as much as most credit cards) or you can lend money and it turns into a great investment. You can search by area and the site 100% secure. So check it out and start saving money!

Before I head out, I want to leave you with the wish that you check out the Packers this Saturday as they take on the Seahawks from Lambeau Field in the playoffs! It should be a great match-up and hopefully the Packers look like Terry Tate against the Seahawks, who will be playing the role of the office workers. Remember this one from a few years ago?
