Any Less of a Win?

Wisconsin's own Matt Kenseth won the 2009 Daytona 500 yesterday. While that's all well and good, and I'm happy that the hometown-hero got the win, I wonder if the fact that the race ended due to rain cheapens the win for him at all? I understand that there's a huge pay-out for the winner and he's probably not all that upset at maybe missing out on that. But it's the Great American Race for a reason.

There's a level of prestige associated with the race. It's the one that even non-race-fans watch and enjoy. I would think that to win the race without going the full 500 miles would feel a little less cool than it does to go green to checkered. At the very least, I was bummed that they didn't finish the race. With the restricter plate races, they run those cars wide-open the whole time, meaning they don't take their foot off the gas and they don't touch the brake. Anything can happen in these races and drivers can make up ten positions in a matter of a few laps.

Either way though, it's always great to get more sports going at the same time so that the NBA doesn't dominate Sportscenter any more!

Here's today's Web Waster:

FWFR - This site compiles four word film reviews of all sorts of movies, from the newest Oscar nominees to the classic movies we all know and love, they have 'em all. There are some really clever ones on there and some not-so-clever as well. They're all fun though, and if you think you can do better, get to submitting your own four word film reviews!
