Blink-182 Back Together?

One of my favorite bands going through High School was Blink-182. Their adolescent antics mixed with their fast tempo got me hooked right away. They got me into the bands that I follow today and will always hold a special place in my music heart. When they broke up a few years ago, I could see it coming. Tom and Travis did a side project called Box Car Racer and didn't invite Mark. Then you could see a complete change in their last self-titled album from anything else that they've done. Tom went off and was in Angels and Airwaves and Mark and Travis put together Plus44.

They each put out their respective music and stopped talking with each other in their very public disbanding. After Travis was involved in that plane crash, it seemed that reunion rumers started up again. The fact that they'll be presenting at the Grammys together just added fuel to the fire, and now a member of Tom's Angels and Airwaves has said that Blink-182 will be getting back together for another album.

I wouldn't be surprised if this Sunday at the Grammys they either have their first performance together in years or at least announce that they'll be working together again. Seems like the perfect stage to put that out to the world. But I'm not too sure if it's something I want to happen. I can't think of a band that has had a successful reunion yet and I'm not sure that it can happen here. Some things are just better left to nostalgia. Just ask the people behind the Knight Rider remake.
