No More Analog!

I was very excited when I heard a week or so ago that the attempt to delay the digital television transition was voted down in the Senate. The commercials, announcements and bulletins about getting prepared have been airing for well over a year now and I figured that everyone should know by now whether or not they're prepared. Apparently this is not the case though. The delay was re-drafted and now has been passed by both the House and the Senate and will most likely be signed by President Obama within days.

I don't mean to be rude, but I simply don't understand how you could miss whether or not you are good to go for the transition to digital television. Is it simply a generational thing? Is it a situation where there is too much misinformation floating around? If you're reading this and you don't know if you're ready for the transition, let me know in the comments below. I'm really curious why you're still unsure and hopefully I'll be able to help.

If you have cable, you're good. If you have a digital tuner in your TV, you're good. If you get your signal over the air and do not have a digital tuner in your TV, you need a converter box. If you need more clarification, just go to DTV.gov and you'll get all the info you need. Though now I suppose you can wait until June.

Here is today's Web Waster:

LoveYouBut - This is an interesting site that compiles a bunch of reasons we say, "I love you, but..." Some of them are funny, some serious and most are thought provoking. It's more of an art project than anything else and can be scanned through in a couple of minutes.
