Japanese Ice Cream

I recently stumbled upon a list that features the top 20 flavors of ice cream straight out of the land of the rising sun, Japan. I was intrigued and began reading. I don't know what I was expecting. Maybe "Rockier Road" or "Panda Tracks." But no. We're talking "Charcoal" and "Cactus." Wow. It reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons in which Homer manufactures "Tomacco" which is a combination of tomatoes and tobacco. People hate the taste, but keep coming back for more. Could this be a similar instance? I'm not sure, but I'm willing to find out. Now to find a Japanese ice cream parlor...
