Web Waster Round Up: January 25, 2008

I love Fridays! The weekend has a lot in store for me, and by a lot... I mean absolutely nothing! I'll be relaxing, doing a little cleaning (my bathroom looks like something out of The Toxic Avenger) and enjoying some episodes of The Office thanks to my new Netflix account. I hope your weekend is filled with fun too. There's definitely plenty to check out. The Ride for Rosita is going on tomorrow at the YMCA in Fond du Lac and on Sunday it's the Chocolate Fantasy at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, also in Fondy. If you've got young ones in the family be sure to check out the Family Discovery Gallery at The Paine in Oshkosh on Saturday. Also, make sure you're tuned in to K107.1 to hear the soundtrack to your weekend!

Now to business, your Web Waster Round Up follows as such:

ThingstobeHappyAbout.com - The Packers had a tough loss on Sunday and if you're still down in the dumps about the overtime defeat, check this site out. After you do you'll realize there really is so much to be happy about!

Razzies.com - The Oscars acknowledge exemplary film makers and actors, but who reckognizes the awful ones? The Golden Raspberries, that's who! Check out the top nods for the worst movies of the year, any guesses as to who leads the way?

Photography.si.edu - I find that this site wastes a good deal of my time quite often. The Smithsonian Institute archives history and art like no other organization and this site is no different. Check out some 700 collections of over 13 million pictures that range from nature to cowboys and space to sports.

Selectsmart.com - I picked this site because I am definitely not the most politically savvy guy and I need things set out as easily as possible when I'm looking at presidential candidates. At Selectsmart.com you can take their presidential candidate survey to see who best aligns with your views. Then when you're done with all the questions, you can compare all of the candidates' views. Pretty handy.

Reba.com - I grew up with a lot of country music and Reba was one of the voices that goes through my memories. She's now on tour with Kelly Clarkson and there's a behind the scenes video up on the site that is sure to be on a future DVD release of the tour. So check it out before they make you pay money for it!

Have a great weekend!
